Welcome to A Family House of Prayer Site!

It is only just begun, and yet we are already changing the future. We are one little house … one little house that has become "a house of prayer for all nations." Please, join us in making a difference far beyond the reach of your hands …. Just say “yes” to the Lord and watch Him faithfully complete the work in your own home. “Yes, Lord. Make our house a house of prayer for all nations.” Go to the side bar and look for the first post in March "In the beginning" for starters.

Solar Eclipse - short lesson

Brief Bible Lesson:  The Eclipse.

Question:  What causes the eclipse?

When the moon is directly in front of the sun, we can’t see the sun.  The sun is eclipsed by the moon.  (image below)

Question: Does the eclipse affect the position of the sun?

No.  The sun is right there where it always is.  The sun’s position is constant.  Its light is constant.
God is compared to the sun in scripture.  He is constant.  Always there.  Always shining.

Question:  Does it always seem like God is there?  When does it seem like He is not?

There are things in our lives that seem to eclipse the reality of God’s presence and his goodness in our lives.   But these things are passing.  The reality is always true.  God’s light of goodness and love is always shining.  It never stops.  He is always faithful.  He is always there.

Question:  How can I be sure that God is always there?

Scripture tells us that one of the names of God is Jehovah Shammah, which means “Our God who is there.”  Throughout scripture, God tells his people “I am with you.”  Wherever we go, we can be assured that God will be there.   There is no need to worry for He will certainly be with us.  In fact He is already there preparing a way for us.

We can ask him to reveal this to our hearts in our times alone with Him!

Bible verse: 2 Corinthians 4:6  For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

Prayer:  God, let your light shine in my heart that I might know your glory and see the beauty of Christ Jesus!
